Can anyone recommend speakers that work well with audio books? I like to listen to them while running on my treadmill?

The Amazon kindle is the best e-book reader on the market. With 8 weeks battery life, connection to Amazon Prime, and a capacity to hold over 100,000 books, you will be excited. Get it now!

I like to listen to them while running on my treadmill. I am currently using some old huge speakers that sound great with classic rock but voices are not very clear, especially the womens' voices. Another issue is how loud I have to turn the sound up so it can be heard over the noise of the treadmill.

I borrow the audio books from the library and they are either tapes or CDs so I need speakers that will connect to an old amplifier. Asked by dazinner 22 months ago Similar questions: recommend speakers work audio books listen running treadmill Consumer Electronics.

Poppet! Said: 2 Is the sound system too far away to use headphones or earbuds? They will give you the best listening experience, I think.

3 You need speakers with flat response (they don't overemphasize some frequencies over others) and low distortion. Playing fairly loud would be a good thing too. I like Atom Monitors made by Paradigm.

Many boutique-style audio shops will carry them. The Infinity Primus 152's and 162's are good too. But you would get better results, and also save your ears, if you got headphones or earbuds that offer some sound isolation (i.e.

, they block outside noise). The sound wouldn't have to overpower the treadmill, and the overall volume would be lower. Be aware, these aren't the cheap earbuds that come with your walkman.

They go in your ear canal and have a rubber seal. Some have absolutely stunning sound. I like the Sony MDR-EX76: amazon.com/Sony-MDR-EX76-BLK-Headphones-... are also some good ones from Shure and Etymotic.

Difference between treadmill and real road running.

I cant really gove you an answer, but what I can give you is a way to a solution, that is you have to find the anglde that you relate to or peaks your interest. A good paper is one that people get drawn into because it reaches them ln some way.As for me WW11 to me, I think of the holocaust and the effect it had on the survivors, their families and those who stood by and did nothing until it was too late.
