Absolutely. We like to tell jokes about rabbis and priests. There is universal humor: mother-in-laws, small children, jealous wives, momma's boys, henpecked husbands.

I think where I draw the line is when a comedian is trying too hard, and that usually involves smut and really off-color jokes that are crude. That isn't funny to me. The great ones: Sid Ceasar, Milton Berle, Lucille Ball, Burns and Allen, focussed their humor on the human things in life that we all can identify with..

I cant really gove you an answer,but what I can give you is a way to a solution, that is you have to find the anglde that you relate to or peaks your interest. A good paper is one that people get drawn into because it reaches them ln some way.As for me WW11 to me, I think of the holocaust and the effect it had on the survivors, their families and those who stood by and did nothing until it was too late.
