Where is the nice/kind humor? Do you nice it? Is society getting more violent/sad/destructive even in humor?

Maybe people aren't really happy...so it shows in their humor. Sex humor...many Catholic people have these jokes..Why? I think our society can't even play gentle music....Heavy metals is not for slow dancing or weddings.

I thought this one was pretty good. It seems like it's going in a different direction and then the unexpected innocence of the ending made it that much more amusing. A man with an obvious winking problem was applying for a job as a sales representative for a large company.

I share your wish for a kinder, more tolerant society. That being said, I believe there is a time and a place for a broad spectrum of behavior. Our problem is, I think, that we've lost the sense of appropriateness.

We don't seem to know (or care) when it's "okay" to behave in certain ways. We should be more willing to call such people liars because they're really trying to have it both ways: insult AND be well thought of. I try to find the humor in just about everything....

I cant really gove you an answer,but what I can give you is a way to a solution, that is you have to find the anglde that you relate to or peaks your interest. A good paper is one that people get drawn into because it reaches them ln some way.As for me WW11 to me, I think of the holocaust and the effect it had on the survivors, their families and those who stood by and did nothing until it was too late.
