1 If they're not in your "deleted items" folder, they're gone forever. A SD card could store them, if you put them there in the first place, but the card can't recover them.
2 Yes, the answer is no...SMS messages cannot be recovered after deletion, and to clarify an SD would not be able to store them either. If the original message is not in your sent or drafts folder, it is gone. Now depending on the importance of the message, you may be able to recover the message or content of the message with a police subpoena if for a legal reason, but the messages only stay in the system for about 5-7 days...after that they are gone for good.
Now if its only a number you are looking for, you should be able to see a list of the messages sent and received from the device online on My Verizon.
In general, the SMS once deleted from the memory of the phone (and from the trash, if it has a trash)cannot be recovered. In principle, depending on the algorithm used to delete files, some can be done by an expert if no other messages have been memorized after the deletion, if the deletion is similar to that used in computer files. In computer files, often the deletion is just virtual: in practice the system put again in the set of free space the portion of the disk used to store the file and doing this can erase the first bytes of the file. But then, if a new file claims more space, the portion of the disk used for the deleted file could by reused and thusthe old content lost forever. If this happen also in the cellphone, there there is a chance, but only an expert, with some especially written programs can perform a recovery and it can be truly impossible. In any case a micro sd card has nothing to do with it.
Another possibility is to recover the content from the servers of the telephone company, but that, possible only for a week or so, needs the police or FBI or something like that.
I cant really gove you an answer, but what I can give you is a way to a solution, that is you have to find the anglde that you relate to or peaks your interest. A good paper is one that people get drawn into because it reaches them ln some way.As for me WW11 to me, I think of the holocaust and the effect it had on the survivors, their families and those who stood by and did nothing until it was too late.
