Firstly, there is no correlation between the quality of writing (writing skills) and the capacity to make money.

Secondly, it is not the number of hubs that is relevant, it is the number of people coming to the hubs.

The better the SEO and the better the backlinking undertaken on a hub that is popular in keyword terms, the better the chance of getting significant traffic.

Those that know state that to obtain an income of $100 / month from adsense you will need approximately 14,000 views from outside of Hubpages. So for $5 / day, $150 / month you will need over 20,000 views.

Amazon earnings run on a different set of parameters. You can earn significantly more from significantly less visitors if you are capable of creating good ad copy and you are able to attract visitors that are looking to buy what you are offering.

Amazon hubs also attract adsense clicks - so double whammy!

If you are able to obtain an Amazon.com account (note that this is the only Amazon version that Hubpages supports) then for the newbie this is the quickest way to get to an earning capacity of $5 / day.

However, be aware, many writers do not achieve any Amazon sales. Amazon hubs must be written in a particular way to attract the right customers that turn out to be buyers.

It is up to you to hone your skills in attracting readers that turn into adsense clickers or Amazon buyers (note, I do not say hone your writing skills!).

Yes, write hubs about stuff that people want to buy, make sure they are over 600 words long, put in a couple of pictures and maybe a youtube video, put in a 'news' module as well (you pick that from the sidebar at the top), use a spellchecker, try and get some links to your hubs from places like facebook, twitter etc...

Make at least 20 hubs, then see if any money is coming in from Adsense (you will need an Adsense account of course) - if you find that you are making some small amounts of money then make more hubs.

$5 a day = $150 a month - my very unscientifc observations tell me that you will need between 50 and 100 hubs to be making around $150 a month. It is a question of numbers really. More hubs = more money.

I see you've got 11 hubs already, I just had a quick look and I would say they are too short - add about 200 words to each one.

Anything is possible, but it will take dedication and you will need to stick with it. You'll want to write hubs fairly often and participate in the hubbing community. Learning about SEO can help as well.It takes some patience too.

Good luck!

There are several different factors in making money on hubs (this is what I gathered in my search). The topic of the hub is a factor. I learned that business and finance topics generate higher paying ads (per hub pages).

Also, having more hubs doesn't necessarily make a difference if you have QUALITY hubs. Now if you are not generating a lot of traffic through the hubs that you have then MORE hubs will increase the odds of the traffic increase. I read on one hub page that this person earns all their income off of the same 12 hubs even though they may have 50-100 hubs.

He took a few months off and there was no change in income mainly because of the quality of the hubs that he already had.

So, it all depends on how you generate your traffic, whether it is through quality or quantity. Everyone's writing style and interests are different. Hope this helps this was just my take on the whole "earning money on hubs" strategy.

Thank you all for answering my questions. I will try to implement everything you told me. Right now, I'm experimenting with SEO now and I hope to have some 1st google page articles soon.

I think the answer given by Singular Investor is Super Duper.

I cant really gove you an answer, but what I can give you is a way to a solution, that is you have to find the anglde that you relate to or peaks your interest. A good paper is one that people get drawn into because it reaches them ln some way.As for me WW11 to me, I think of the holocaust and the effect it had on the survivors, their families and those who stood by and did nothing until it was too late.
