No, it's not simple to learn at all. To begin with it's very very frustrating, confusing and difficult. It's one thing of the easier instruments to learn but making those first few steps ishard.
I think you have to really want to learn to play a lot (not just think it seems like fun) and to actually enjoy the learning part. I started learning in the 1970s, it's the best thing I ever did and the thing I enjoy most. A good teacher is a great help.
I cant really gove you an answer,but what I can give you is a way to a solution, that is you have to find the anglde that you relate to or peaks your interest. A good paper is one that people get drawn into because it reaches them ln some way.As for me WW11 to me, I think of the holocaust and the effect it had on the survivors, their families and those who stood by and did nothing until it was too late.
