Can I quit my part time job by just abandoning it? (abusive boss)?

He cant retaliate & yes you can quit the job by just not showing up. I noticed 1 poster said something about it coming back to haunt you cuz all your work history is in a computer some where, that person must just be paranoid. All your work history is in a computer for the government, that is true but most HR managers are too busyto look into every single job youve ever had.

If it's not on your resume then theyre not worried about it....all your next imployer is worried about is the jobs you have listed on your resume & your background check & education.

Absolutely, and you are doing it. That part-time job could be an issue later, but due to your short time there I truly doubt it. If ever asked about it, do NOT mention you had trouble with your boss.

DO mention that the job was not a good fit for you.

I'm sure that if you hate it so much the boss will be relieved when you're gone. What have you learned from this experience? How have you grown yourself?

And, btw, all your work history, even the jobs you'd rather forget, is in a computer somewhere. People will find out about this.

Yeah I've done it before.. Just not show up for work.. Seeing as you work in retail.. Id probably steal something.. Wait till your next pay check..,.. Make sure you get paid for what you work for then just leave.. By the sounds of it you can't use him as a reference so just screw it.. Maybe trash the place a bit too I also pranked the place too for close to a year lol.

Yes, you can do it and no he can't retaliate. If you don't need a reference, just leave the place off your resume and forget it. I can understand where you are coming from - I've been in that position too.Do yourself a favor and just walk away.

Yea it's all good go for it if you don't want it for a reference there is no way this boss can retaliate besides firing you which is basically your goal anyways :).

I cant really gove you an answer,but what I can give you is a way to a solution, that is you have to find the anglde that you relate to or peaks your interest. A good paper is one that people get drawn into because it reaches them ln some way.As for me WW11 to me, I think of the holocaust and the effect it had on the survivors, their families and those who stood by and did nothing until it was too late.
