Five people would be heartbroken if you died, and many more (not least your grandparents) would be racked with guilt for the rest of their lives. Also some friends I expect. You seem to have touched a bit of a nerve with your grandfather - it is a subject best avoided probably!
Unfortunately many Christians committed atrocities in the name of religion a few hundred years ago in North/Central America and Australia especially. And it was only just over two hundred years ago that the disgusting slave trade was abolished! And less than that when Ku Klux Klan morons were burning homes and murdering people while often pretending to be Christians!
Anyway, your grandfather will calm down soon enough, especially if you apologise for upsetting him. (If you say, "I am sorry if I upset you, Grandpa," you are not actually admitting that you were wrong, are you, but he will probably think it?!). One day, because of your unhappy upbringing with a druggie mother (etc.), you will be able to relate to other young people, and maybe even become a counsellor or something similar and help people.
I expect that your grandparents love you very much, even if they get angry occasionally - and they will do their best to ensure that you have a lovely Christmas. I really hope that you do, and that next year will be a great one for you!
Hey my kik is coolkat168 I commented back to you but I'm not sure if you get notifications so yeah lawl. Feel free to text me.
I cant really gove you an answer, but what I can give you is a way to a solution, that is you have to find the anglde that you relate to or peaks your interest. A good paper is one that people get drawn into because it reaches them ln some way.As for me WW11 to me, I think of the holocaust and the effect it had on the survivors, their families and those who stood by and did nothing until it was too late.
