Can we claim the interest we pay on our mortgage on this years tax return?

Since you have not submitted the PAN to the banker they have not furnished the same at the time of filing the TDs return. Resulting the credit for the same is not appearing in 26AS. Hence you are not able to claim the same.

Alternatively you can request your banker to file the correction statement mentioning the PAN. If the same is filed then the credit of taxes will be reflected on 26AS and you will be ab;;e to get credit in ITR.

I cant really gove you an answer, but what I can give you is a way to a solution, that is you have to find the anglde that you relate to or peaks your interest. A good paper is one that people get drawn into because it reaches them ln some way.As for me WW11 to me, I think of the holocaust and the effect it had on the survivors, their families and those who stood by and did nothing until it was too late.
