While it is not recommended, it would work. You could do it at a long, slow roast overnight at about 225-250 degrees. This is under the assumption that it is already defrosted.
Normally, you would cook it 15-20 minutes per pound at 350 degrees. So, for a 10 pound bird, that would normally only take about 3 hours 20 minutes. If you cook it overnight, your turkey would be ready in time for breakfast!
Once the turkey is thawed, wash it under running water and make sure it is cleaned out thoroughly. Preheat the oven to 500 degrees. Butter and season the outside of your turkey and put it in the oven for about 20 minutes until it has the beautiful golden color.
Turn your oven down to about 200 and cook the turkey for 40-50 minutes per pound. Leave the turkey uncovered. Make sure you don't stuff the turkey since you are cooking it at such a low temperature and use a thermometer to make sure it is done (internal temp of 180 F).
I really don't recommend doing this if you are planning on getting a good night's sleep. You should set the alarm in case you fall asleep even though this is a low temperature. I have several sources.
I cant really gove you an answer, but what I can give you is a way to a solution, that is you have to find the anglde that you relate to or peaks your interest. A good paper is one that people get drawn into because it reaches them ln some way.As for me WW11 to me, I think of the holocaust and the effect it had on the survivors, their families and those who stood by and did nothing until it was too late.
