Can you freeze cooked spinach?

You can freeze pretty much anything... just saying. Is it a good idea? I have no clue.

:).

First of all freezing vegetables it self is not good, because all the nutrients in the vegetables will go if you are so busy then you can freeze 2or3 vegetables, regarding spinach should not freeze, consume it fresh.

The best way to freeze spinach is to blanch it. This means you wash it and then plunge it into boiling water for 2 minutes. Then plunge it in to icewater to stop it cooking any more (or put it in a sieve and run cold water over it).

Bag the spinach in freezer bags and freeze it. You can then add it to future recipes frozen or you can thaw it in the refrigerator. You can use this method for any greens actually but collard greens need 3 minutes not 2.

You could put the frozen spinach in a pan with a little cream and black pepper and gently warm it up as a side dish. Throw in some parmesan too if you like. Freeze the spinach in individual portions so you don't have to thaw a big block.

Yes. Wilt it first by putting a few tablespoons of water in a pan with the spinach. Turn on the heat to high and shake the pan until the spinach has wilted.

Drain well and cool. Now, put it in freezer bags, making sure you put the date on the lable. Consume within 8 weeks (that's what I do but you can keep it in the freezer for much longer).

Yes you can. I make a heap as I only eat a little from a bag, and freeze it in feed sized containers. I also do many other veggies as well so on a day when I don't want to cook I just need to grab a selection and nuke them and just do my piece of meat, fish or chicken.

I cant really gove you an answer, but what I can give you is a way to a solution, that is you have to find the anglde that you relate to or peaks your interest. A good paper is one that people get drawn into because it reaches them ln some way.As for me WW11 to me, I think of the holocaust and the effect it had on the survivors, their families and those who stood by and did nothing until it was too late.
