Underage drinking is not grounds for separation, unless there is much more to this incident. You will receive either a company grade or field grade (battalion level) Article 15 NJP. A company NJP can result in 14 days restriction, 14 days extra duty and forfeiture of 7 days pay.
A battalion NJP can result in 45 or 60 days restriction (depending on extent of extra duty), 45 days extra duty, loss of one rank and forfeiture of 1/2 pay for 2 months. If you refuse NJP, you will go to court martial where the penalties are more severe. I have seen both company and battalion level NJP for underage drinking.
It all depends on the circumstances of your incident.
You sure are! Whether you self-referred or were command referred, by being in ASAP, you agree to not drink, at all, even if you were of age. That would result in ASAP failure.
ASAP failure results in administrative discharge. Add in the underage part, and you'll be getting hit by UCMJ as well. I expect a general under other than honorable discharge in your not too distant future.
I cant really gove you an answer, but what I can give you is a way to a solution, that is you have to find the anglde that you relate to or peaks your interest. A good paper is one that people get drawn into because it reaches them ln some way.As for me WW11 to me, I think of the holocaust and the effect it had on the survivors, their families and those who stood by and did nothing until it was too late.
