A "blood moon" is a total eclipse of the Moon. They average about one a year. The next one is due on 28 September this year.
That will be followed by blood moons on 31/1/18, 27/7/18, and 21/1/19. There is nothing extraordinary about total eclipses of the moon and you get four in two years every eleven years or so. The last was 2003/4.
The sun's light goes out with a blood moon because the sun has set. You only get lunar eclipses on full moons and when there is a full moon in the sky, the sun is on the other side of the world and its light is not seen by those who can see the moon. You should learn your science from science sites rather than internet conspiracy theory websites.
