Christians did you know that you must treat Atheists with respect even when we speak maliciously about 'god'?

(Atheist) There are different levels of respect, and treatment with equality, but while I have little problem in practice with most of the Christians I meet here in the UK (the topic of belief rarely comes up) I have never had a door-knocking evangelist treat me with the reciprocity of an equal. Wishing me to take their views seriously, to the point of possibly adopting them for my own none have shown the slightest inclination to proffer the reverse courtesy even though they have no reason to think I have spent any less time or effort than them in settling on my world-view. That's not respect, for all it can come dressed in polite and sincere language.

I do it every time I talk to my best friend of 15+ years, my college professor, my cousin and any one else of that guild. But I don't treat them with respect because they are atheist, and I don't choose to respect someone because of their religious or secular ideals. I do it because they are human beings and I feel there should be a default of respect when encountering and interacting with other people no matter what they do or don't believe.

Peace and Blessings = ).

I cant really gove you an answer, but what I can give you is a way to a solution, that is you have to find the anglde that you relate to or peaks your interest. A good paper is one that people get drawn into because it reaches them ln some way.As for me WW11 to me, I think of the holocaust and the effect it had on the survivors, their families and those who stood by and did nothing until it was too late.
