Christians, How can you be 'okay' with gay marriage and be a Christian?

I think it is. A close friend of mine is a gay Christian... and yes, he is a "real" Christian, someone who is truly devoted to following Jesus the best he can. I don't believe that God has any problem with gay people.

It's the actions and choices we make which matter... After getting to know my friend, and hearing about his struggles, I firmly believe that being gay is not a choice. With all the trouble it has caused him, he desperately wants to be straight and would become straight if he could. But what IS within his control are his actions... and he has chosen not to pursue homosexual relationships, just as any single Christian (gay, straight, whatever) should strive to be pure, and to not succumb to lustful thoughts or actions.

A great resource for gay Christians: http://www.gaychristian.net.

I depends on your perspective. As a straight atheist, I have no problem tolerating gay people, but too many Christians (not all) are hard to bear with their interfering attitudes and disgusting practices like preventing others from marrying.

I cant really gove you an answer, but what I can give you is a way to a solution, that is you have to find the anglde that you relate to or peaks your interest. A good paper is one that people get drawn into because it reaches them ln some way.As for me WW11 to me, I think of the holocaust and the effect it had on the survivors, their families and those who stood by and did nothing until it was too late.
