I'm fine with the concept of the match, but I'd want to shift a few things around. For starters, I don't like The Undertaker's match with Punk being the launching pad for it. I think that in the setup to Wrestlemania 30, the WWE needs to move away from and let go of The Undertaker vs. DX.
It was great, but it ended, and it ended well. Having Shawn repeatedly come out saying "if I can't end it no one will" just doesn't work. What's to stop him from doing that every year then?
I'd be fine with a Punk/Michaels match, but I think the setup could work beyond The Undertaker. Wiggy brought up a good idea of having a renewal of the Triple H/Punk rivalry, and I like that. They can bridge that out to HBK from there.
Plus, if they do bring Shawn out of retirement (which despite what so many fans say, isn't always a bad thing. Just about every retired wrestler has that "one more match" at some point), they need to have a segment between him and The Undertaker. It doesn't need to be big, but it has to happen.
Punk can challenge Shawn, and Shawn can say something along the lines of "I gave my word to The Undertaker that I wouldn't wrestle again", at that point the gong can toll, the lights can dim, The Undertaker can walk out and he can tip his hat to Shawn to give his consent, and that's all it needs to be. But after the debacle the WWE has gone through with Ric Flair climbing back into the ring again, there has to be something to make Shawn's re-entry seem "okay". But in theory, totally, I like the notion of the match.
Obviously, Wrestlemania 30 is a long, long way out and who the hell knows what could happen until then, but two very preliminary matches, to me at least, seem to be Cena/Undertaker and Rock/Lesnar. Triple H will be there, but Punk against Michaels could work.
As creative as this is, and I'm usually a fan of the storylines you come up with, but this idea doesn't interest me. The Streak is way too important of a match for something like this to go down. You don't want a sketchy ending like this because Punk will come out the following week and tell anyone who will listen that he got screwed.
Just how he said he got screwed at the Royal Rumble, he'll claim he got screwed at Mania too. HBK interfering is just too random for me. If he were to do something like this at a different PPV when Punk were facing someone like HHH, then I might buy it.
But like I said, it's all a bit too random.
I cant really gove you an answer, but what I can give you is a way to a solution, that is you have to find the anglde that you relate to or peaks your interest. A good paper is one that people get drawn into because it reaches them ln some way.As for me WW11 to me, I think of the holocaust and the effect it had on the survivors, their families and those who stood by and did nothing until it was too late.
