I would love to see one of those historical revisionists go to a meeting of jackbooted skinhead Aryans and tell them that they, and their Nazi heroes, were all left-wing socialists. They should put it on pay-per-view. People think that Nazism was socialist just because of the name, maybe they learned history from a cereal box.
They should look up Hitler's closest ally and mentor, Mussolini's fascism. Edit: here is a good description: "Confusion between, and the conflation of, Nazis and socialists is due to the Nazi Party's name, which was in full the National Socialist German Workers Party (NSDAP). When Hitler joined the DAP in the early 1920s and quickly became its most prominent member and leader, the party's basic politics were not much different from those that later marked the Nazis' rise to power -- anti-Semitic, anti-socialist, anti-communist, opportunistic and wedded to violence -- but they were murky.
The party was also quite small, one of dozens of right-wing populist formations at the time. By upping the nationalist ante, scapegoating national minorities and adding "socialist" to the party's name, Hitler found he was better able to attract disenchanted WWI veterans and workers left jobless during the hard economic times that followed the Treaty of Versailles. To better distinguish his party and its ethos from the more established socialist and communist entities at the time, and to reflect its intense nationalism, he also added "national" to the name".
Anne Coulter is an idiot. Nazis however, I do not consider right or left. Rightists generally support Capitalism, which Hitler hated because Capitalism allowed Jews to gain success freely.
But he was also not a Leftist, as he opposed Communism very much as well because it gave equality to all the Jews. EDIT: I consider both Liberals and Conservatives limiters on freedom for obvious reasons.
I cant really gove you an answer, but what I can give you is a way to a solution, that is you have to find the anglde that you relate to or peaks your interest. A good paper is one that people get drawn into because it reaches them ln some way.As for me WW11 to me, I think of the holocaust and the effect it had on the survivors, their families and those who stood by and did nothing until it was too late.
