I did some looking around. Looks very simple, and effective. ----quote---- William (Willy) Nelson, an environmental researcher from Perth, Ontario, Canada has demonstrated the usefulness of paraffin wax in many diverse situations.
The objective of his current activities is to stabilize and remove spilled oil by application of wax onto all affected areas. The method can be used on oil-soaked dry or wet sand, water, and rocks. He returned to his home June 16 after presenting his wax cleanup method in Louisiana.
William E. (Willy) Nelson Wax Researcher at the Gulf In his demonstration, Willy applied a spray of melted paraffin wax onto water contaminated with oil. The oil then mixed with the wax to become a non-adhesive solid mixture. It was then removed from the water by hand, and left no residue.
He also spread granulated wax onto oil-soaked beach sand. When the wax and oil mixture hardened, Nelson cut the resulting mass into chunks. All oily residue was removed from the sand through the process.
Wax Countermeasure Cleaned Up Oil Spill in British Columbia Since he read Michael Faraday’s book, The Chemical at age twelve, Willy Nelson has been fascinated by wax. Through years of experimentation, he discovered many useful applications for paraffin. He demonstrated its usefulness in many diverse areas, to the benefit of the environment.
In 1974 Nelson used wax as a countermeasure to clean oil from rocks and crevasses after a spill at Passage Island, British Columbia. Environment Canada had contacted Willy when conventional methods failed. The sprayed wax sealed the oil onto the affected areas, and the area’s sea foul hatch was saved.

I cant really gove you an answer, but what I can give you is a way to a solution, that is you have to find the anglde that you relate to or peaks your interest. A good paper is one that people get drawn into because it reaches them ln some way.As for me WW11 to me, I think of the holocaust and the effect it had on the survivors, their families and those who stood by and did nothing until it was too late.
