Creationists, 10 points if you can accurately explain the theory of evolution.?

Some do and some don't on both sides of that issue, However I have noticed the dishonety and just plain flat out Lies concerning Evolution, and let me tell you why or the motivation for doing this, If creation is true, then there is a Creator to whom we are accountable. Evolution is an enabler for atheism. Evolution gives atheists a basis for explaining how life exists apart from a Creator God.

Evolution denies the need for a God to be involved in the universe. Evolution is the “creation theory” for the religion of atheism. According to the Bible, the choice is clear.

We can believe the Word of our omnipotent and omniscient God, or we can believe the illogically biased, “scientific” explanations of fools. You see? Evolutionary scientists mock creation and/or intelligent design as unscientific and not worthy of scientific examination.

In order for something to be considered a “science,” they argue, it must be able to be observed and tested; it must be “naturalistic.” Creation is by definition “supernatural.” God and the supernatural cannot be observed or tested (so the argument goes); therefore, creation and/or intelligent design cannot be considered science.

Of course, neither can evolution be observed or tested, but that does not seem to be an issue with evolutionists. As a result, all data is filtered through the preconceived, presupposed, and pre-accepted theory of evolution, without alternate explanations being considered. Overall, there are many solidly scientific reasons to question the theory of evolution.

These flaws may be resolved by science, or they may eventually kill the theory all together. We don’t know which one will happen, but we do know this: the theory of evolution is far from settled, and rational people can question it scientifically.

It conflicts with what they already believe in and creates "cognitive dissonance" as someone above pointed out. Their position isn't based on reason or evidence to begin with so it's very unlikely that reason of evidence would sway them from that position. They first have to value those two things instead of faith.

Faith is merely the excuse people give when they can't come up with any good reason for what they believe in. I also noticed someone above said that atheists do the same thing. Can't speak for anyone else, but I already understand other religions, so there is no trying to understand.

I especially understand Christianity because I used to be one. It doesn't go both ways in my case. I understand and yet still reject.

They are unwilling to understand evolution and reject it for reasons in the above paragraph. Edit: In fact, the whole cognitive dissonance argument sounds like "I am right which is why they are arguing against me" No, that would be a misunderstanding of what cognitive dissonance is. Cognitive dissonance happens whenever we are faced with information that conflicts with what we already believe in.

So the options are to either accept this new information and change what we believe in, or deny this new information and maintain what we already believe in. As I've said before, it is very unlikely that reason or evidence will sway them since their position isn't based on reason or evidence to begin with. So when they're faced with cognitive dissonance, they are most likely to straight up reject this new information regardless of how reasonable it is.

I cant really gove you an answer, but what I can give you is a way to a solution, that is you have to find the anglde that you relate to or peaks your interest. A good paper is one that people get drawn into because it reaches them ln some way.As for me WW11 to me, I think of the holocaust and the effect it had on the survivors, their families and those who stood by and did nothing until it was too late.
