You're not going to hell because of what you believe about creation or the works of Ussher. It is what you think of Jesus Christ and the salvation message that He is part of. As for creation science it answers many many more questions regarding origins of all spiecess that exist.
For they all came into existence as perfect and complete. The lack of fossil or intermediary specimens supports this fact. A link below is a professor of genetics who shows that this field does not support evolution.
If you look at science objectively? You would understand why it was that many of the disciplines that started scientific research were Christians. And that many of them did not stop believing in God.
Instead. Many of them their faith was strengthened in God once learning the truth and the magnificence of how God made those things. That is common sense.
As for what Ussher did? I respect what he did. In fact.
It would be interesting now that we know about history to see how his calculations could be modified and worked rather than being under ridicule now. The last article I believe is one that discusses the difficulty of what Ussher was trying to do his work. And lest you think that James Ussher was using the Bible as his only historical notes on that subject you would be wrong too.
He used the latest and most researched documents at that time to attempt at what he was doing. It was reasonably and thoroughly done. In fact in my mind quite admirable.
I cant really gove you an answer, but what I can give you is a way to a solution, that is you have to find the anglde that you relate to or peaks your interest. A good paper is one that people get drawn into because it reaches them ln some way.As for me WW11 to me, I think of the holocaust and the effect it had on the survivors, their families and those who stood by and did nothing until it was too late.
