I'm feeling a bit lazy, today. Could you maybe pull up a link comparing the number and duration of vacatios Obama takes in comparison to the number of vacations Bush, Clinton, Bush and Reagan took? That way we could have a better picture of whether he is taking more vacations than he should.

BTW, the reason I'm feeling lazy is because I just spent 5 hours collecting money for Muscular Dystrophy (Jerry's Kids) .

Unemployment was not as high under the last administration. That's kinda beside the point too. I doubt that makes the 10% of Americans out of a job feel any better.

But unemployment is not TWICE what it was in the first couple years of the Bush administration. Besides, where does it say that the president can only have a day off if everyone is employed? .

The prez. Can take as many days off as he wants, he'll just upset that many more Americans with 'excessive' trips from his executive duties. S popularity ratings in the polls have been quite reflective of this.

I believe the tourist businesses in Florida were very appreciative of his last vacation.

GWB spent the bulk of his "vacation time" at his Crawford Texas AKA "The Texas White House" and most of the rest of his vacation time at Camp David, about 80 miles from the WH. Both of those locations are set up as working vacations for the President to conduct business as he would in DC. No president today can get go on vacation and not still be working so I believe working vacation is a better term or maybe "satellite office".

I think the complaints about Obama's vacations is the perception that he is spending too much monehy while lots of Americans are out of work and tightening their belts. $7,000 a night for a house in Martha's Vineyard and MO's trip to Spain that was very expensive isn't setting a good example. I think he, his handlers or both are tone deaf when it comes to image.

The golf doesn't do much for his image either.

What does BHO mean, something about being black I suspect. Even if you shave a tiger, his skin is stripped, so if you can't keep up with this it means you cannot hide your real thoughts. Maybe you don't care that your comment insinuates that this president takes too many vacations, that previous presidents didn't take as many vacations and since his is a black man, that he is lazy.

I just felt like using his initials if you want to know 'how I really felt' at the time. I could really give a flying **** if he's striped or polka dotted as long as he's not wasting funds out of the treasury. Why bring up Bush or past presidents?

That is really telling how you must feel about this prez. That should be ancient history by now but then some people cannot help but live in the past. More people are without jobs now and the country is really hurting economically but that seems to be neither here nor there to BHO, until it's time for him to read from teleprompters for the camera.

The correlation about a working man taking a vacation is poor at best. Why is it when people feel guilty about being racist they talk about people striped or polka-dotted? I never talk about white people and then say people are paisely or checked.

Presidents don't work a 0 hour week, with a one hour lunch. But I'm sure plenty of people wish that good ole George would have taken a vacation to Louisiana sooner when Katrina hit. When you look at the link, it also compares not just Georgie, but Bill also.

Actually if I were racist i'd not feel the lest bit ashamed about hiring colored people but the same can be said for sexism as well.It is still a red herring and his 'race' does not give BHO a license to spend taxpayer funds like there's no tomorrow, or his wife.

The fact is BHO has been the most polarizing prez. This country has ever seen and his 'race' doesn't really help any considering the majority of America is anglo. I never held his connections to Bill Ayers against him since both Bush's have links to the house of Saud and Clinton invited convicted felons , drug dealers, to the white house.

He really should worry about his public image more, unless he has accepted his fate for being a one term president. I don't say 'prez. Obama' for the same reasons the MSM referred to Bush sr.

Nothing he does or says is going to change what people think. I mean, look at your reaction. When Bush was in office, at one time I thought, man he takes a lot of vacations, then I thought, it cannot be an easy job.

Even though I wasn't a huge fan, I thought this isn't easy and he probably needs his time. Oh yeah, I never think about the presidents middle name, it's as inconsequential as our prior president's. I feel like it's yet another part of the public perception and the thing that don't like him will hold onto.

I cant really gove you an answer,but what I can give you is a way to a solution, that is you have to find the anglde that you relate to or peaks your interest. A good paper is one that people get drawn into because it reaches them ln some way.As for me WW11 to me, I think of the holocaust and the effect it had on the survivors, their families and those who stood by and did nothing until it was too late.
