First of all, you have to understand Romney doesn't really mean any of the things he says. He says what he thinks the audience wants to hear. The guy's a real shape shifter.
Romney was speaking to millionaires so he reinforced millionaires' favorite fantasy, their paranoia that the Middle Class is out to get them. It's said that a politician gets money from the rich and votes from the poor by promising each to protect it from the other. But even with the middle class the Republican Party loves to use wedge issues, to peel voters off the Democratic block.
And one is a demonization of the poor. They see the poor as lazy, greedy and dishonest. They hint that welfare and unemployment are a huge part of our yearly budget.
Basically they feel that anyone getting a government benefit is cheating, stealing from us. And they do this to distract us from the -real- crooks. It's the RICH that are stealing us blind, not the poor.
As a general rule he is 100% correct those people were the same ones standing in ankle deep water in New Orleans and saying ''come get me'' while the rest of the family were out looting stores.
I cant really gove you an answer, but what I can give you is a way to a solution, that is you have to find the anglde that you relate to or peaks your interest. A good paper is one that people get drawn into because it reaches them ln some way.As for me WW11 to me, I think of the holocaust and the effect it had on the survivors, their families and those who stood by and did nothing until it was too late.
