Disable DHCP in my D-link DIR 300 wireless router. how to set up the static ip addresses?

Since your desktop, which I assume is connected with a CAT5 cable to the router, is unable to obtain an IP address via DHCP I would think that the DHCP service on your D-Link router is already turned off. I would login to the router and check to see if it turned on and that there is a pool of IP addresses assigned to be given out. The pool is normally a range of IP addresses and would be something like 192.168.1.100 to 192.168.1.200.

Other than that it is not necessary to disable DHCP to add static IP address, you just want to make sure that the IP addresses you place on your two systems are not within the range of the DHCP pool. On your system, right click on My Network Places and select properties. When the box opens select the network card and then right click on it and again select properties.

Now at the next box scroll down in the box that says "This connection uses the following" and select Internet (TCP/IP), click on the button that says Properties. Un-check Obtain IP address ... more.

I cant really gove you an answer, but what I can give you is a way to a solution, that is you have to find the anglde that you relate to or peaks your interest. A good paper is one that people get drawn into because it reaches them ln some way.As for me WW11 to me, I think of the holocaust and the effect it had on the survivors, their families and those who stood by and did nothing until it was too late.
