Even though your hair is very dry, it is not a good idea to use an intensive hair conditioner after every shampoo. It would probably make your hair heavy and lank. Do use a regular conditioner every time, this will ensure that your hair receives a good amount of nourishment that washing it may have depleted.
Try using an intensive conditioner about once a month, that should be sufficient. Or you could try putting warm olive oil on your hair, covering it in cling film, then a towel to keep in the warmth. Leave for about 20 minutes, then shampoo your hair twice, it will need it to remove the oil, this is a little time consuming, but this method is very good for nourishing dry hair.
Because you had a different expectation. You had before will work but it is not as I developed. You are not going to be able to condition with UBH conditioner, apply heat and have movement in your hair because of the oils that are purposely left on the hair to combat dryness.
You are certainly welcome to return the conditioner for a refund. You may also consider this. Use the UBH conditioner on Friday night when you don't have to go out and don't want your hair smooth and bouncy.
The oils will act like a hot oil treatment and greatly improve the elasticity in your hair. Sunday night reshampoo your hair and use another conditioner and prepare your hair as you would when you go to work. You can reshampoo your hair at anytime after using the UBH conditioner however you will not want to do this EVERY TIME as it really defeats the purpose of leaving the oil in your hair.
That will make you happier and give you the look you are wanting. If you are going to improve your hair you need to oils. Deep condition 1X per week when you don't have to have swinging bouncy hair.
Get the hair first then we can swing it (get my point) Still I will refund you if you want to return the products. Is there such a thing as over-conditioning your hair? Over conditioning should not be your concern.
Using products that improve your hair is what you need to focus on. I have finally read your incredible book, AND used your wonderful conditioner! My hair is already along the road to recovery.
Now, having said that, I have some questions for you. Should I use your conditioner every time I shampoo, and if not, what should I use? Only apply lotion creme and dry under the hooded dryer.
Do a protein treatment instead of UBH conditioner. I get my hair professional done every two weeks. I wash my own hair in between.
Should I take the conditioner to the beauty shop with me? Deep conditioning 1X per week is the minimum. It is not necessary to take the product into the hair salon unless you absolutely want them to use only that.
Just ensure you continue your weekly deep conditioning treatments when you are not in the salon chair. Whether they do your deep conditioning or you do them yourself, it does not matter. You just want to ensure you are using a product at least once a week that will improve your hair like UBH conditioner will.
Since, I still have a large bottle of my Proxcity conditioner left, I was wondering if I put the Proxicity on for three minutes and rinsed and used your product for the 20 minutes would that cause a negative reaction to my hair? Don't know, I would recommend (if you still want to use Proxcity) that you do that on days you are not using UBH conditioner. Your product may contain something that will coat your hair and not allow my conditioner to go inside the hair as is required to improve your hairs condition.
Can we prevent hair breakage by using the conditioner? Prevent hair breakage is not the point. Have hair breakage.
I comb my hair after I finish washing the conditioner out and spraying the dew in it, is this a bad move, should I let the hair air dry without combing the hair through? I do not recommend combing chemically processed hair wet as it can cause further damage to already fragile hair. When I put a deep conditioner on my hair, Do I have to wash it out, because of the left over residue?
Your book says that we should only wash it once with shampoo, because of the drying effects, but on your instructions that you send with the conditioner says that you should shampoo it out. I haven't been shampooing it out just rinsing it out as much as possible. I think there is a misunderstanding here.
Conditioner has to be RINSED out. You don't mind the oils left behind by the conditioner. You are doing it right.
Just rinsing out is fine. Be inhibited by the oils in the conditioner. Do I need to apply heat every time I use your conditioner?
It is a waste to use it without it. The hairshaft swell open and the product goes inside. Without the heat you are merely wasting the product.
I am having too much breakage. I only deep condition with heat once a week. I used the motions as sort of a quick in the shower conditioner to just moisturize, soften and go.
I looked at your conditioner as really a deep one that should be used with heat. I would like to make it exclusively my only conditioner but if it doesn't work without heat then, I would need something for the "in between" deep conditioner. You are correct to use my conditioner only when you use heat to deep condition.
I sometimes use motions after shampoo moisturizing conditioner with silicone, is this bad? I don't use Motions conditioner and therefore can not say if it is helping or is bad for you so I cant comment on it. I will give my opinion on Silicone in your conditioner as it is a cuticle smoother.
It does nothing benefical as far as conditioning ability in my experience. Silicone sits on the hair. A good conditioner needs to improve the condition of the hair.
In other words, the silicone will smooth your hair making you think you have nice soft shiny hair giving the appearance of good condition and it really may just be the product coating your hair. In the end you have done nothing to improve the hair at all. Is a leave in conditioner necessary?
No a moisturizer is necessary - depending on the ingredients, the name can be misleading! Have you looked at Affirm's Dry scalp conditioner? No I have not because I don't focus on the scalp with any of my hair products.
In my experience, the scalp is NOT the problem. Down, when the top is thicker with new growth. Deep conditioning treaments.
Hair care professionals. Do not provide any real benefits for our hair. Which builds on to the hair making it thicker.
What are the exact ingredients for your conditioner? Bottle (or click the bottle to go to the conditioner. When you scroll down.
You implied that you use Apoghee. Have you tried the Pro Vitamin Leave in Conditioner? If so, what did you think of it?
To the hair. This is the kind of hype I stay clear of. Know is not true.
I cant really gove you an answer, but what I can give you is a way to a solution, that is you have to find the anglde that you relate to or peaks your interest. A good paper is one that people get drawn into because it reaches them ln some way.As for me WW11 to me, I think of the holocaust and the effect it had on the survivors, their families and those who stood by and did nothing until it was too late.
