Well, I am willing to accept that some people take things more seriously than others... but it does annoy me when someone completely misses a joke.

I'm with you there! I actually don't spend any time with people who don't have a decent sense of humor. Humor to me is one the most endearing things about humanity.

Besides that, its humor that has rescued me from many a time from my own over analytical mind. It puts everything in perspective! If ya can't laugh at it, what good is it?

Nah, because as you said, life is too short. I just save my humor for those who can appreciate it, or use it to needle the humorless. I like to be the irritator, not the irritated.

If they are low in Vit D3 or their brain is low in oxygen...due to Celiac...they may not laugh. That is great that you can find the humor in things. The great thing about kids/babies etc..they bring joy to people.

One of my favorite "gags" is to pretend to have no sense of humor. On the other hand, some people think "humor" means to ridicule others for no reason but that this other disagrees. Thus, we see Christians mocked, but not Moslems because they might shoot back.

We see conservatives mocked but not liberals because they'll whine about "racism" or "genderism. " So in a way, if both conservatives and Christians had a stronger sense of humor, they'd be more likely to be left alone, and that is irritating.

I cant really gove you an answer,but what I can give you is a way to a solution, that is you have to find the anglde that you relate to or peaks your interest. A good paper is one that people get drawn into because it reaches them ln some way.As for me WW11 to me, I think of the holocaust and the effect it had on the survivors, their families and those who stood by and did nothing until it was too late.
