We're not "meant" to do anything. Humans were not created and are not predestined to behave in a certain way outside of their genetic structure and environment. Our "canine" teeth were not designed for anything.
They're the teeth we evolved with, while eating the diet we normally eat. We're omnivores because that's the actual thing that we do. As evidenced by the diet of the vast majority of living human beings and throughout the tens of thousands of years modern humans have been roaming the Earth.
I say this as a vegan; we evolved as omnivores. But that doesn't mean anything. I can survive as a vegan.
We also evolved to die around the age of 30 or 40. What humans do naturally is not always what humans ought to do. Nature does not equal good, nor does it equal bad.
MOST IMPORTANTLY, we evolved to use rational thought and the ability to have rational discussions about what we ought to do and how society ought to change. It doesn't matter anymore whether we're omnivores or not. That's not a relevant part of the animal rights discussion.
I cant really gove you an answer, but what I can give you is a way to a solution, that is you have to find the anglde that you relate to or peaks your interest. A good paper is one that people get drawn into because it reaches them ln some way.As for me WW11 to me, I think of the holocaust and the effect it had on the survivors, their families and those who stood by and did nothing until it was too late.
