No offense to madmax he's a contact of mine but I respectfully disagree with his remark that Ganguly "already" had some of the best players. Its like saying Sir Jadeja was "already" a great player. No!
He turned into such a great performer recently because of belief shown and backing instilled in him by his captain Dhoni. The same thing Ganguly did. For eg. You could say the 2007 world cup team of India was "already" full of great players but it lost to bangladesh and SL and got kicked out.
Why? Because the lack of belief and degradation done to them by the coach. Psychology and morale upliftment of players by coach and captain has an undeniable importance in cricket teams success.
The captain has to determine the "role" of every player in the team set up and back him up for that. Then the player establishes himself on that role with performance. Its a factor that slips out of notice of casual cricket fans.
All of them prove that Dhoni is the best ODI captain while Ganguly was the better test captain(marginally) We can judge Dhoni's test leadership skills on the upcoming tough test series...
I cant really gove you an answer, but what I can give you is a way to a solution, that is you have to find the anglde that you relate to or peaks your interest. A good paper is one that people get drawn into because it reaches them ln some way.As for me WW11 to me, I think of the holocaust and the effect it had on the survivors, their families and those who stood by and did nothing until it was too late.
