Do you feel assault weapons should be banned?

That would do FAR more than a personal defense rifle ban. Notice FBI stats do not parse the rifles into types? Nor do any gun death stats show who died by gun fire.

Not criminal death in a citizen self defense, gang on gang nor death by police. Just totals. You even have to subtract suicides out.

Nothing will be gained but to those who want to ban all guns, it is a first step. The only rational for banning, other than a step toward a total ban, is that "assault weapons" look scary and resemble military assault rifles.

I cant really gove you an answer,but what I can give you is a way to a solution, that is you have to find the anglde that you relate to or peaks your interest. A good paper is one that people get drawn into because it reaches them ln some way.As for me WW11 to me, I think of the holocaust and the effect it had on the survivors, their families and those who stood by and did nothing until it was too late.
