Do you give your dogs large RAW soup bones? I do and they love to eat all the marrow out of them?

I do and they love to eat all the marrow out of them. Now I have seen in my searches that you shouldn't ,and my Corgi breeder friend says that's not true - she has for 20 years. Does anyone know the real answer?

As long as the bone is big enough they can't splinter it and has no small pieces stuck to it.....go for it. Some people will say that you can't because of bacteria and that kind of stuff but a dog's system is much stronger than ours. As long as it's fresh being raw will not hurt them.

I'm sure someone's dog somewhere got sick from a raw bone, some animals are more sensitive than others and if your dog has never had raw meat before he may have some stomach upset, but if your dogs don't have a problem with it they're fine. I think some people try to introduce real meat too quickly, I used to have a Doberman with a bit of an eating disorder. I swear she was anorexic.

The majority of her diet was (cooked) fresh chicken and she had no issues with stomach upset but if you take the average dog and just toss a bowl full of chicken meat at them they will have diarrhea everywhere. We're not as hearty as our canine friends so you probably have to be more careful handling raw bones than cooked, that might be a drawback.

I cant really gove you an answer,but what I can give you is a way to a solution, that is you have to find the anglde that you relate to or peaks your interest.
