Quite a few. The most recent was December of 2010. I know a woman who runs a cat rescue group.
She organized a couple of people drive from Sarasota to Palatka- several hours each way- to rescue 15 cats from a kill shelter. The pound in Palataka only holds animals for 3 days, then kills them. Anyway, she brought back a Ragdoll and her kitten. My friend new I was looking for a Ragdoll so she called me.
I didn't really want two but took the mom and kitten. Turned out the mom was a dad and very aggressive to my other 2 cats so I had to find him a new home. And I ended up keeping the kitten who is my lovely Emma.
I will save the story of Sterling and my sisters dogs for another time!
I cant really gove you an answer, but what I can give you is a way to a solution, that is you have to find the anglde that you relate to or peaks your interest. A good paper is one that people get drawn into because it reaches them ln some way.As for me WW11 to me, I think of the holocaust and the effect it had on the survivors, their families and those who stood by and did nothing until it was too late.
