I love my satellite radio... I remember hearing someone talk years and years ago about satellite radio, and I had no concept of what it would be and never imagined I would have and enjoy something like that. But, years have passed, and I have it and I do love it! We got it for a year with our newest car, and have continued to renew our subscription ever since.
We recently had to take that car in for repairs so didn't have it for about a week. I drove my daughter's car, with standard radio, and it was that week that made me realize the difference and how much more I liked the satellite radio than the regular! But I never listen to the radio at home, either satellite or regular, unless my husband has it on while he's doing something.
The same with the television. I grew up always having a radio playing in the car and in the house, but no more...it's too easy to either have it quiet or use my Ipod. As far as stations, I stick with 1960's music on XM, plus I like the Blue Collar Comedy channel and also some of the talk shows, like Oprah's friend Gayle King (until she fell in love with Barack Obama and couldn't talk about anything else...!) and some of the news shows.
I grew up on Detroit radio stations, and love all the Motown songs from the 1960's, so that's what we listen to a lot in the car. *Poppet*'s Recommendations Live on XM Satellite Radio Amazon List Price: $13.98 Used from: $24.35 Average Customer Rating: 5.0 out of 5 (based on 2 reviews) .
