I started out acoustic 40+ years ago, and am still most comfortable there. Add a pickup and amp, and you're plugged versus unplugged anyway, so I like that versatility. My favorite acoustic is my Martin D35.
The action makes it easier to play than my Guild or my Fender Acoustic. I like a big body or dreadnought style the best. If I must play electric, working with bands, I find myself going for the wider neck of the Fender Telecaster, because it's more like the acoustic neck than, let's say, the Fender Stratocaster.
I have one of those too. Also an Epiphone hollow-body jazz electric when I need that round mellow tone. With electrics, there's too much fussing with extra gear to get that perfect sound, in my opinion.
Too much work, and I still am never happy with the sound I'm trying to get. Whenever I need to write a chart, figure something out in a hurry, whatever, I grab my acoustic and place it on my lap as I sit at the computer or desk. Don't need to plug it in, don't need an amp.
Just the right loudness all by itself if I need to sing along for any reason. So there you have it. I like them both, but I prefer acoustic.
I love playing my acoustic guitar I got as a Christmas present about 7 years ago. It's a classical acoustic, with vinyl strings, so it's much easier on the hands, but it makes a muted, softer tone, no brassiness to it. While I can play electric guitar quite well, and I'm madly in love with someone whose fingers can fly over the strings like magic, I'm an acoustic guitar girl.
I love the sounds of an acoustic guitar and a smooth voice, playing and singing. Something along the lines of Harry Chapin and Jim Croce.
Acoustic electric is the best so you get the best of both worlds. If you decide you want just acoustic you can and if you want a lounder sound just plug it into an amp.
I've always found the acoustic better to play just because it's easier to use and the electric guitar is technical even though ive got both you can get better music from the acoustic.
I cant really gove you an answer, but what I can give you is a way to a solution, that is you have to find the anglde that you relate to or peaks your interest. A good paper is one that people get drawn into because it reaches them ln some way.As for me WW11 to me, I think of the holocaust and the effect it had on the survivors, their families and those who stood by and did nothing until it was too late.
