Dogs The main reason is simple: I'm horribly allergic to cats. The slightly more revealing answer is, I like to play with my pets and while cats will play, it's more on their terms, and I'd rather it be more on mine. Plus, my two dogs are simply awesome, and act like cats 50% of the time anyway.
One of them even meow'ed as a puppy.
I like both I have a very friendly cat along with my dogs. The cat is a nice companion for karen and I as well as for the dogs. The cat can get a bit anoying as he constantly want to climb on the computer and does not appear to be trainable, atleast not in the way the dogs are, so he is a bit frustrating at times, like now, when I want to work on the computer, but wants to play.
I love being able to be active with my dogs, going out for walks / hikes, etc. We can do many things that the cat can or will not do. The dogs even carry my stuff around in there back packs. The dogs are always affectionate and loving towards Karen and I.
I like my cat, felix. I would have to say that I perhaps perfer my dogs a bit over the cat, but I enjoy both of them. They are all very nice loving companions to Karen, the other pets, and myself.

Weeellllll, having both I prefer cats Well, my favorite dog died a couple of months ago...leaving Spike, our 95 pound Dalmatian as an 'only dog'. He's always favored my husband, which is rare for a male dog...but I don't think he ever really liked women from the day we got him. I care for him and about him...he always comes to me for comfort if he gets a booboo...but he's just not my Sparky.
The cats, on the other hand are very warm and loving. They spread the love around...depending which lap is available at the moment. It's just so comforting to curl up with a purring cat...they don't smell, they groom themselves, don't have to be let in and out...and demand very little....a plate of dry food, a bowl of water...and a clean litter box...a little catnip, and they're happy.
I can't imagine a household without a pet or two...although the house would stay cleaner longer. It's just so neat when you come in the door and these lovable, furry creatures are happy to see you. If we do get another dog in the future, it will be a much smaller dog...my pick would be a white Bichon.
I think they're just adorable. Sources: Pet lover HELENofTROY's Recommendations The Bichon Frise Today Amazon List Price: $29.95 Used from: $4.99 Average Customer Rating: 5.0 out of 5 (based on 4 reviews) .
I suspect I know which one you prefer... But I've got to say that, for me, it totally depends on the animal. Most* dogs are easier to get along with than most cats, but that kind of makes the cat's acceptance feel more special. Cats are less likely to have an accident on the floor, but you have to clean out the cat litter, and you don't have to walk them, so it's a relative toss-up.
I've owned both, and my favorite dog was cat-like, and my favorite cat is dog-like. *Not my parent's former Silky Terrier. She hated everyone except my dad.
If she'd have had good teeth my sister and I would be missing fingers now. Sources: My opinion.
Had Both, perfer...** **I prefer cats because they do not 'need' me. The come when they want to and leave when they want to do so. I prefer that to a dog that needs my attention.
I had one and he followed me everywhere. So much so that when I zipped through the house and pivoted around--I'd fall over him. Hahaha.
**I actually think I like the 'thought' of a dog. I like to picture the dog lying beside me, by the fireplace, as I read. I don't think of them needing walks, pooping in the yard, and me cleaning it up.
I love dogs, though...just not to own. I like to visit my sister and her dog. And for some reason her dog loves me.
Her dog listens to me better than she listens to her. **My two cats own me. They've trained me well.
They hate to see the bottom of their food dish ohmigosh, I could starve! They love to play mattress-mole hehe, you can't see me! And they meet me on the stairs each morning to give me their demands for the day.
Yet, someday I'd like to have a dog again. I think I want a soft-mouthed St. Bernard. Well see... Sources: Me, myself and I... I cant really gove you an answer, but what I can give you is a way to a solution, that is you have to find the anglde that you relate to or peaks your interest. A good paper is one that people get drawn into because it reaches them ln some way.As for me WW11 to me, I think of the holocaust and the effect it had on the survivors, their families and those who stood by and did nothing until it was too late.
