Do you see real value to asking and answering questions such as this?

I think there are people here with a broad array of knowledge and sometimes it's just a good place to start if you have a specific need. Why not tap into their experience. Some questions may seem silly but possibly it is very important to the person doing the asking.

I answer questions if I think I can help or if it is just a topic that interests me....

Yes, I see value as I believe there is value to every action, just like a silver lining.

I believe that 'mundane' and 'interesting' are antonyms. Your answers to this question are far from mundane. In fact, you are so clever you could probably write a hub about how to elicit thought-provoking answers to otherwise tedious questions!

As always, good to hear from you = you make me think! Your fan, Maralexa.

I see the value in both asking and answering. We all have different interests and thoughts to share. Some questions will seem more important then others depending on Individual interests.

I think anything that starts discussion is valuable, even if the discusiion is about how lame the question was :D. And not the original question. Cheers!

I don't see value in askiing the same questions repeatedly. There have been questions that only the HP team can answer, if they will give a straight answer, but hubbers are asked. I could understand if someone has not been paid, does not understand being paid, and does not know how to contact those at hub pages, but they want us to tell them why they have not been paid.

I cant really gove you an answer, but what I can give you is a way to a solution, that is you have to find the anglde that you relate to or peaks your interest. A good paper is one that people get drawn into because it reaches them ln some way.As for me WW11 to me, I think of the holocaust and the effect it had on the survivors, their families and those who stood by and did nothing until it was too late.
