Do you still celebrate your birthday, since you are an adult, or would you just rather no one knew about it?

I do enjoy celebrating my birthday with friends and family, since my birthday falls on New Year’s Eve. As a cancer survivor, birthdays have become special to me and my immediate family. They go out of their way to ensure I have a wonderful yet special day, which means the most to me.So to me, this is the day ever year, that will celebrate new beginnings with my family and friends.

Yes, I absolutely still celebrate my birthday. It comes in the fall, my favorite time of the year, and I claim a whole birthday month for myself. I treat myself to the movies I want to see, the meals I want to have, and a dessert or two of my choice, and my hubby goes along for the ride.

Our wedding anniversary comes 3 weeks after my birthday, so that's all the more reason to have fun throughout the month. Outside of my own household, I don't care if other people know about it or forget it. I don't usually involve others in my birthday plans-- I am quite content doing things on my own and with my husband when he's not at work.

The only real exception to that is when we happen to take a trip to another state to see family and friends, and in that case they are included for a special meal at a favorite restaurant we all love. The one thing I don't do is let it be known to any restaurant employees that it's my birthday month. I don't want them gathering at my table to ask my age or sing some loud, terrible birthday song to me and make all the other customers stare!LOL.

I like celebrating. That being said, I like a tasteful celebration like going out to a nice restaurant. No goofy hats and noise makers, thank you.

Of course! It's in September so it is really nice out, and I have the option of doing something either indoors or outdoors. My friends and I usually get together and we have a blast!

Not really. I just use it as an excuse to eat out at better place. But lately, as I grow older, each birthday is more depressing than others because I feel I've become too old and I haven't achieved all of my dreams.

I don't announce if it's my birthday but I don't deny it and I am still happy if there are people who remember my birthday and congratulate me at my birthday.

I still celebrate! I'm on my 10th annual 25th Birthday!

I cant really gove you an answer, but what I can give you is a way to a solution, that is you have to find the anglde that you relate to or peaks your interest. A good paper is one that people get drawn into because it reaches them ln some way.As for me WW11 to me, I think of the holocaust and the effect it had on the survivors, their families and those who stood by and did nothing until it was too late.
