Well party because they can get away with it. Why do you think there are so many CCTV cameras in public places these days? Because if people think they can't be seen and therefore tracked and caught they will commit crimes.
Morality for some is imposed from outside and is not real morality but simple fear of being caught and facing unpleasant consequences. Without that fear of detection and punishment some people are very anti social. In addition to that other people on the net are really completely anonymous.
It is much easier to be downright unpleasant to someone who is nothing but a screen name to you. You have no real emotional connection to them. So far as gaming goes - well not everyone is what used to be called "a good sport".
Ie, they cannot tolerate defeat with a smile and a congratulation for the winner. They behave like my 8 year old niece when they lose a game - they lose their temper and throw a paddy like a two year old. And finally, and not insignificantly I believe, they have learned that this sort of behaviour is what happens on line.
It's become "normalised" in the minds of some people. Which is a pretty bad indictment of modern society.
I cant really gove you an answer, but what I can give you is a way to a solution, that is you have to find the anglde that you relate to or peaks your interest. A good paper is one that people get drawn into because it reaches them ln some way.As for me WW11 to me, I think of the holocaust and the effect it had on the survivors, their families and those who stood by and did nothing until it was too late.
