I think racism is 100% real in churches. Do you agree with people in this world that racism has 0% foundation? I have heard this in the world and now on this site.

I am always shocked by blatant denial and racism. That's my question. What do you say?

It is ridiculous to label people for things which are beyond their control such as their physical appearance, gender and so on. In churches, I am not so sure. Not much experience there, though raised Catholic.In Eastern religions, they respect all living beings.

Why is that such a problem in a supposedly modern, progressive society, or in a house of worship? I have to admit I am deeply shocked at how much racism has become apparent in this country in recent years. Many blessings.

No doubt there are racist churches, yet they are not operating Biblically, their racism is sin! What does this question have to do with beauty, country and rap music? I do not know.

I look to Scripture for my views - Acts 17:26 26 "And He has made from one blood every nation of men to dwell on all the face of the earth, and has determined their preappointed times and the boundaries of their dwellings, There is only one human race! Difference in skin color should be regarded as no different than difference in hair color or eye color, which means NOTHING! Of course liberals like to stir up race!

They like to yell RACIST, RACIST, RACIST! Whenever someone disagrees with one of their heroes, like Obama! Yet, if they criticize Condaleezza Rice or Michael Steel it is not considered racism at all..

I had to look up the definition before I answered... and found this: Racism is the belief that race is the primary determinant of human traits and capacities and that racial differences produce an inherent superiority of a particular race. It is my belief that human beings go to churches and as such believe all sorts of things, whether or not where they kneel their knees supports it or not. So, sure it is in churches and everywhere else.

For my part, I really have not seen conclusive evidence that racism has a foundation. But I am not a scientist and cannot unravel what I have read. I am inclined to think there is no foundation, but that is me and that is what I say..

Racism is a plage that will keep on coming (sadly) I think the main foundation of racism is prejudice, some people don't like certain races because of their culture of beliefs. I'm latin so I'm going to put us as an example so I don't offend any other race; If you know a latin person who is lazy, irresponsable and likes to gossip and all of his/her behavior gets you in trouble for any reason of course you would think "Latin people are lazy irresponsable and like to gossip". Unfair but understandable since that was a bad experience for you and maybe that was your first impression about latin people.In the other hand, there is some people who just have their hearts full of hate and feel superior to others.

I KNOW that racism is 100% real in all human beings. Are you living in denial? The church is comprised of human beings.

All human beings are racists and prejudiced in other ways, too. Therefore, members of "the church" retain prejudicial ideas. Over time, these ideas are dumped thru the influence of the Holy Spirit.

How are you getting rid of yours? The church is not a museum for saints; it's a hospital for sinners. Rather than comlain that some of the patients aren't completely healed yet, how about coming in to get healed yourself?.

Racism exists throughout the world. Is racism misnamed - is it really tribalism? Do all groups (tribes) practice racism?

I cant really gove you an answer,but what I can give you is a way to a solution, that is you have to find the anglde that you relate to or peaks your interest. A good paper is one that people get drawn into because it reaches them ln some way.As for me WW11 to me, I think of the holocaust and the effect it had on the survivors, their families and those who stood by and did nothing until it was too late.
