Besides the above answer, I would add that people have to change their thoughts to the ones they had on SRI's and then they can drop medication. If they don't change their thoughts and attitudes then the problem gets worse and the SRI's don't work then. The tricks are to drop negative words before they become negative thoughts.
Every day think of things you see around you that are not threatening, things you like in yourself, people and your life. Then meditation calms us down plus belief in a higher power works even if it's just in your mind. It's a calming positive idea.
If nothing else the mind eventually believes what you tell it, of put another way you are ordering it to take your word for it.
