Yes! For me racism has greatly decrease compared to around some 20 years ago. A lot of factors can be considered contributors to this:First the significant growth of education, as more and more people becomes highly educated they also become more friendly rather than hostile as being nice to people has always become a mark of being a decent educated member of the society.

Democracy has also led people to welcome and acknowledge the rights and responsibilities of each person regardless of his race, culture or belief. Third is rise of information technology, this has greatly influenced people to connect, to build networks of friends around the world, regardless of culture and race, language barriers has been greatly diminished by interpreters and online translation services.

Depends on what neighborhood your in at the moment.

I cant really gove you an answer,but what I can give you is a way to a solution, that is you have to find the anglde that you relate to or peaks your interest.
