Do you think there should be a law against people who use cell phones while driving?

Not sure whether you are talking about a total ban of using cell phones while driving, or that if using hands-free, it's acceptable. In our country, we are allowed to use the cell if on hands-free, but most, unfortunately, still using without.

Yes. Our city just passed a law, but no one really is paying attention yet. Maybe when the fines start.

I was just reading this: April 30th is No Phone Zone Day and I hope that you will sign the pledge. Driving while distracted is even more dangerous than driving while drinking or when tired. As a parent, as a daughter and as a wife, I cannot endanger my life and the lives of others on the road by driving while distracted.

I admit it is difficult not to check my email or answer the phone when it rings or when I am at a stop light. But the danger outweighs the benefits. Nearly 6000 people die annually as a result of distracted driving!

On any given day in 2008, 800,000 vehicles were driven by people using handheld cellphones. I know I'm WAY more distracted when talking, and I think other people are too. I know it helps pass the time when on a long drive, but when lives are at stake, it's just not worth it.

In Some states there are laws against that, Sadly it's hard for police to cut down on it because they can not see a person driving whale talking they can only see them when the car is stopped at a light or stop sign. The law In my Stat prohibits talking on a cellphone and texting on a cell phone whale conducting a vehicle. I have no Idea why people don't use there speakerphone whale driving or a bluetooth device. It would make it a lot easier.

In Florida state texting and phone while driving is strictly banned. In some states hand free cell phones are allowed, but I think driver cannot concentrate on driving while talking in hand free cell phone also.

Look at the complainers and see they only talking about teenagers when you see many adults playing the tag game. Just talking on the phone period should be a ticket in progress but than you have to film the police officers too because many of times they are on the phone. So to convict them we would need the GPS system tracking to make sure it's a official call because they will use this as an excuse.

I cant really gove you an answer, but what I can give you is a way to a solution, that is you have to find the anglde that you relate to or peaks your interest. A good paper is one that people get drawn into because it reaches them ln some way.As for me WW11 to me, I think of the holocaust and the effect it had on the survivors, their families and those who stood by and did nothing until it was too late.
