Thanks for the comments on Jericho, so many people forget how good he is, in the face of his current character. I agree, that he would probably be the one to anger me the least, but I don't see how the WWE would pull that off. Besides if they were going to end the streak, they would probably give it to a younger guy, since the focus right now is all on "future" talent.
I don't think McIntyre is ready yet, whoever Undertaker accepts for the match will have to be far more proven. I think they would have to work too hard to get Drew there for it to seem believable. I don't think it will be Kane.
The passing the torch thing just doesn't seem to fit for the Bros of destruction. Still, he makes my top 3. 3 Kane.
He is an obvious choice, sort of a this is your life Undertaker, angle. But really, I think this angle will be resolved by Survivor series, Takers anniversary. 2.
Mysterio. Rey is one of the most worthy, in terms of timing, athletic perfection, and big match performance ability. It would be easy enough to resume their storyline, and Rey would have believable reason to want to beat the streak.
Underdog vs Undertaker. 1. Orton.
Just want to say, I not giving my favorite choice here (so hold your thumbs face-haters), but rather the ones I think are the most likely for WWE to choose. Orton is getting major pushes, and ending the streak would clinch his status forever. Orton and Taker have a long history, and he would be a believable choice to want the match.
I really don't believe that they will end the streak. I half expect Taker to "die" in the ring after going 20 and 0. Calaway is very devoted to the kayfab reality of his character, so having the dead man die when he retires is not too far fetched.
When he lays down and dies, the monks would be standing by with the coffin, and Paul Bearer would set Taker inside. They wheel the thing out and that is the end. Instead of a career end tribute, like Flair and HBK got, they would have a Funeral service, led by Bearer.
I think it would be perfect. I doubt that at this point anyone would truly benifit by ending the streak. Too many people will be outraged, whoever it is who does it.
Whoever it was would be risking having life long haters, and not just in the welcomed heel way. I mean in the stop watching this crap sort of way.
1) Triple H. After all that he has been through, I feel as though he deserves it. I know it won't help him get any more over or anything I just think he deserves it after what he has been through in his WWE career.
2) Chris Jericho. He is one of the best wrestlers in the ring and on the mic today. He can generate the crowd to being dead to alive within seconds.
He knows how to work the mic. I feel as though this match could happen at Wrestlemania 27 and what a match it would be. 3) Shawn Michaels.
Now I know this match isn't going to ever happen again in the history of Wrestling but I would love Shawn michaels to end the streak. He was the only superstar worthy enough of defeating the deadman on the grandest stage of them all.
I cant really gove you an answer, but what I can give you is a way to a solution, that is you have to find the anglde that you relate to or peaks your interest. A good paper is one that people get drawn into because it reaches them ln some way.As for me WW11 to me, I think of the holocaust and the effect it had on the survivors, their families and those who stood by and did nothing until it was too late.
