Does anybody know if there are any Texas state laws about renters giving landlords a 30 day notice before moving out?

1 If you have a lease, yes there is. If you're on a month-to-month arrangement, common courtesy dictates you should let them know. Sometime, someone is going to want to know where you used to live and who owned the place and you're going to have to tell them.

Then, they contact the party you were renting from and find out you didn't give notice and you'll be screwed.

2 I live in the Dallas/Fort Worth area in a large apartment complex. I signed a contract with the management of complex that I am to give them a 30 day notice that I intend to move, and they in turn must give me a 30 day notice that they wish me to leave,UNLESS and not limited to if after 3 warnings I refuse to comply with whatever rules I have broken, such as disturbing the peace, destruction of property. Failure to pay rent etc.Etc.As far as being a State law,I do not believe such a law exists (Texas).

There are ordnances to protect the consumer such as building codes, fire codes and the maintenance of the property by owners or representatives of owner such as,the owner must supply water and sewage (and in the contract it would be decided who pays for each service),adequate heat and a/c,hot water etc.

3 I think its the same in any state. It on every contract that I have signed. 30 days notice is required, plus it' just polite.

4 I don't see a 30-day notice, but they left, giving 1 day notice, and lease does not expire for 3 more months. What are my options? .

5 If you have a signed lease contract beetween you and your tenant from the Texas apartment association you can hold tenants to any amount of notice you both agreed to prior to the tenant moving in. Call the Texas apartment association they are very helpful. Good Luck!

I cant really gove you an answer, but what I can give you is a way to a solution, that is you have to find the anglde that you relate to or peaks your interest. A good paper is one that people get drawn into because it reaches them ln some way.As for me WW11 to me, I think of the holocaust and the effect it had on the survivors, their families and those who stood by and did nothing until it was too late.
