An Alternate Way to Use a Bread Machine I've had good success with off the shelf mixes. Instead of making the complete loaf in the machine, I use the "dough" setting, take the mixed dough out of the machine, put it in a bread pan, let it rise for about an hour, and bake it in the oven for 25-30 minutes at 350 degrees. Makes a much better looking loaf.

I use my bread machine every week, and generally at least twice a week, for years and years... I'm on my fourth one, in fact. However, I rarely bake in the bread machine--I use the dough cycle, shape the dough, and bake it in the oven. Here are a recipe the whole family loves.
Naan 1/4 teaspoon baking soda 1/2 teaspoon salt 2 teaspoon sugar 4 cups bleached flour 1/2 tablespoon milk 1/2 cup yogurt 2tablespoons Olive Oil 2 teaspoons yeast 3 tablespoon melted butter 2 tablespoon poppy or sesame seeds Add ingredients to your bread machine in the order your bread machines requires for solids and liquids. Set the machine on the dough cycle. Once the cycle is complete, remove the dough to a floured surface, cover it, and let the dough rest for 15 minutes.
Divide ball into eight pieces. Knead each lightly, flatten ball, pull into an oval forming a sort of pear shape. Put on baking sheet(s), cover with damp cloth, allow to rise about 15 minutes.
Brush the tops with melted butter and sprinkle with seeds. (Optional) Bake in pre-heated 450 degree oven for 8-10 minutes until golden brown. Sources: My memory.
We make this quite a bit, as we generally use it as the pizza crust recipe, too. NancyE's Recommendations The Bread Lover's Bread Machine Cookbook Amazon List Price: $21.95 Used from: $9.20 Average Customer Rating: 4.5 out of 5 (based on 72 reviews) The recipe came from this book, as I recall.
I love my bread machine. I wish I had one you could set to 15 hours, then I'd use it daily. (I hated the Adkins diet!) These are my 3 favorite recipes.

I love my breadmaker! My favorite breakfast is my own bread. I always use Molasses as sweetener.
Whole Wheat Bread in a Bread Machine 1 Large Loaf Water 1½ cup Whole Wheat Flour 3 cups Wheat Gluten 3/8 cup Honey/Molasses ¼ to ½ cup Salt 1 teaspoon Dry Yeast 4 teaspoons (2 pkgs) 1. Premix flour, gluten, and salt. Make sure it is room temperature.2.
Pour lukewarm water (110°) in bread pan. 3. Sprinkle yeast into water in bread pan.4.
Add honey, spreading around, into bread pan.5. Add dry ingredients mixing the ingredients in the corners with a spatula.6. Put pan in baker immediately.7.
If using more honey/molasses choose Light setting, if using less choose Medium.8. Start machine cycle as usual.4 Stone Burh whole wheat flour is a good flour to use and available at supermarket 4 Arrowhead Mills whole wheat is also good and available at health food stores.4 Wheat gluten gives the bread its dense chewy texture and is available at health food stores.4 Use all molasses for a heartier flavor, use all honey for a lighter sweetness, or use a combo to suit your taste. 4 If adding nuts at beginning of process, do not chop.
Kneading process will do it.4 If adding dry fruit at beginning of process, do not soak to soften or chop small.4 If your bread maker allows, add fruit and nuts at second kneading cycle. Sources: Personal experience .
1 I have a sourdough starter going, and most of what I bake every week is sourdough. It isn't difficult, but to use the recipes I use most often, you'd need to start brewing your own yeast, and not everyone wants to do that.

I cant really gove you an answer, but what I can give you is a way to a solution, that is you have to find the anglde that you relate to or peaks your interest. A good paper is one that people get drawn into because it reaches them ln some way.As for me WW11 to me, I think of the holocaust and the effect it had on the survivors, their families and those who stood by and did nothing until it was too late.
