If you still have the video camera used to record onto the SD Card, it's best to connect the camera directly to the Mac. Should the camera does not have FireWire interface or not recognised by the Mac, you need to transfer the content of the card using card reader. The following instruction is from Apple Knowledge Base article support.apple.com/kb/HT1847 1.
Create a folder that will contain the contents of the SD Card. 2. Insert the SD card into the reader and connect card reader to the Mac.3.
Mount the memory card (usually the card reader is mounted automatically). 4. Drag the contents of the SD card to the folder created in step 1.
5. Start the Final Cut Pro 6. You can access the media using the Log and Transfer window in Final Cut Pro by clicking the Add Folder icon button.
Navigate to the new folder you named in step 1 above and the clips within it will be available for transfer.

A good paper is one that people get drawn into because it reaches them ln some way.As for me WW11 to me, I think of the holocaust and the effect it had on the survivors, their families and those who stood by and did nothing until it was too late.
