Sewing paper projects I sew paper projects on my machines - I even used my serger a time or two! But I make sure that I use a needle that I won't use on anything else and I keep canned air on hand to blow out all the "lint" left by the paper. It's probably not the greatest thing to do but I love doing it!

I own a quilt & scrapbook shop and always break the rules whenever possible! I chalk it up to "discovery. " I have better luck with more than one layer so you might try a tear away stabilizer if you need to sew on only one layer of paper.

1 I'm no authority on this, but I have sewn pages together to make small books and cards. I've also made envelopes and file folders sewing sheets of card stock together. I think it's a rather charming thing to do......Just sew along the edge and you're done.

2 I've just sewn decoratively on pages...like outlining, sort of, with the thread, just to add interest. I got one of those little Sew Crafty (I think it's called) machines...but rarely use it...

I think they are perfect for crafting projects because you don't have to haul out your big machine to do some quick accents...

I cant really gove you an answer,but what I can give you is a way to a solution, that is you have to find the anglde that you relate to or peaks your interest. A good paper is one that people get drawn into because it reaches them ln some way.As for me WW11 to me, I think of the holocaust and the effect it had on the survivors, their families and those who stood by and did nothing until it was too late.
