Does candidature cease 'ticking' upon submission?

After submission of your thesis for examination, your candidature remains active (with a load of zero) and you should be able to access University services and facilities as normal for a period of time. If your Library access expires, you can apply for it to be reinstated, free of charge, by completing an "Authorisation for University of Adelaide Library Borrowing Privileges" form which is available from the Library Services Desk. As your load is set to zero, you will cease to incur any tuition or student services fee liabilities.

I cant really gove you an answer,but what I can give you is a way to a solution, that is you have to find the anglde that you relate to or peaks your interest. A good paper is one that people get drawn into because it reaches them ln some way.As for me WW11 to me, I think of the holocaust and the effect it had on the survivors, their families and those who stood by and did nothing until it was too late.
