You can't increase spending through two wars and not raise taxes. Anyone demanding tax cuts while we have two armies deployed IS the problem. If you pretend that you hate deficits, then even repealing SSI and Medicare won't fix the problem.

Maybe you should have read the article you linked to. Nowhere in it does it have the Obama administration blaming SS and Medicare for the national debt. Obama blames the national debt on the spending done in the last decade with no mechanism in place, other than borrowing money, to pay for any of it.
Your rant should be aimed at Bush, not Obama.
I cant really gove you an answer,but what I can give you is a way to a solution, that is you have to find the anglde that you relate to or peaks your interest. A good paper is one that people get drawn into because it reaches them ln some way.As for me WW11 to me, I think of the holocaust and the effect it had on the survivors, their families and those who stood by and did nothing until it was too late.
