Does it help to peel potatos before cooking them in the microwave?

If i'm trying to cook a normal spud that i'll end up dressing, shoud I go ahead and peel the thing first since I never eat the skins but don't know if they help insulate the flavor during the baking process. Any thoughts or reccomendations that you've used when nuking potatos are much appreciated. Don't peel It's too bad you don't like the peels on the spud, as that's where most of the beneficial vitamins are at, the rest is fiber and water. If you peel it first, you may end up with a dry skin on the outside, which isn't real good to eat ( it's a texture thing). If your nuke is 1000 watts, put a medium spud in at fulll power for three minutes on one side, roll over and nuke for two to two and one-half minutes.

Take out and wrap with foil and let it set for five minutes. As always, pierce the spud in several places with a knife before putting it in the nuke to prevent an explosion....not fun to clean up. Enjoy!

Leave it on It does make a difference in the taste. I also never eat the skins, but I have found that it takes less time to remove them after nuking and it is a lot easier .

The skin will keep the flesh inside from being dry (which is what microwaves do to food. ) But you should poke the potato (fork, knife, whatever) to allow the moisture in it to escape when it becomes steam from the heating. Once it's FULLY cooked, you'll be able to easily open the potato and scrape the flesh off of the skin..

No. This question, I suppose would be of a personal choice of taste. But, I tried it once and the outside of the potato got kinda hard.So my answer, or suggestion is no.

1 If you bake or roast potatoes in a regular oven, the skins should stay on because they add to the flavor considerably, even if you peel the potatoes later. The flavor and aroma of the toasted skin suffuses the potatoes. If you microwave the potatoes, the skins make much less of a difference, which may be why microwaved potatoes are so much less appetizing.

Does anyone know what type of fabric you use to make a microwave cooking bag that is used for making baked potatoes.

I cant really gove you an answer, but what I can give you is a way to a solution, that is you have to find the anglde that you relate to or peaks your interest. A good paper is one that people get drawn into because it reaches them ln some way.As for me WW11 to me, I think of the holocaust and the effect it had on the survivors, their families and those who stood by and did nothing until it was too late.
