Does religion represent everything that is bad about humanity: nationalism, racism, sexism, war and money?

My answer to that is that if the only thing keeping a religious believer from raping and killing is their belief in God, then they must really be a terrible person. We hear that claim often here (though how many are fake it's impossible to know), someone saying that belief in God is important because if they didn't have God's morality they would commit such crimes. I'm betting they wouldn't, but if that's so, then they are inherently amoral themselves, and horrible individuals.

If someone is so blind to the obvious fact that you, an atheist, have committed no such crimes, and that the prisons are full of people who describe themselves as Christians and Muslims, then there's no reasoning with them, and there's little point in doing so unless a third party is listening who might be amenable to reason.

I cant really gove you an answer, but what I can give you is a way to a solution, that is you have to find the anglde that you relate to or peaks your interest. A good paper is one that people get drawn into because it reaches them ln some way.As for me WW11 to me, I think of the holocaust and the effect it had on the survivors, their families and those who stood by and did nothing until it was too late.
