Does the County offer Veteran’s Preference?

We encourage veterans to apply for positions with the County of San Diego. Copies of DD214 (must include fields 1 - 29 on the form) , Veterans Administration documentation, marriage certificates, death certificates, and proof of eligibility are required at the time of application. Preference points will be given to those: Who have not been employed with the County of San Diego since leaving the military; Served within the last 8 years during a time of war or national emergency; and Are not retired veterans receiving full pensions.

Eligible individuals also include: Veterans with a service-connected disability received during a war or campaign; Spouses of war veterans who died or were totally disabled. More.

I cant really gove you an answer,but what I can give you is a way to a solution, that is you have to find the anglde that you relate to or peaks your interest. A good paper is one that people get drawn into because it reaches them ln some way.As for me WW11 to me, I think of the holocaust and the effect it had on the survivors, their families and those who stood by and did nothing until it was too late.
